In the early 80’s with an entrepreneurial drive and vision, Hans Spelt started a company Shantro Developments Ltd, named after their children Shanna and Troy. Hans made the decision to take the risk, borrow some money and buy some land in Lacombe, Alberta,
The plan was to buy the land, develop it and build some spec houses. It all started with a 4 lot development.
Fast forward over 45 years, Shantro Developments has developed 300 acres of residential land in Lacombe and has built around 60 single family/duplex homes, and multiple commercial/light industrial properties.
Recently expanding into Penhold, building 2 spec homes.
